HPC Introduction
For demanding projects in computational science which require more resources than a
nowadays PC or laptop offers we provide additional resources on three levels:
- Simultaneous usage of several standard computers in the CLAMV Teaching Lab
- Access to our onsite very powerful HPC computing nodes
- Access to external high performance computing centers such as
HLRN,
NHR and
JSC. We are member of the
Bremen Supercomputing Competence Center
BremHLR
A new cluster installation consisting of 14 very powerful CPGPU computing nodes plus
several powerful CPGPU nodes for pre- and postprocessing
was taken into operation in October 2022. The new cluster installation will replace the
old BlackPearl cluster installation. The gross key numbers of the new cluster installation
are as follows:
CPU |
Memory |
GPU |
Storage |
Network |
1792 (1960) Cores |
7.0 (7.8) TB |
301056 (328704) CUDA Cores |
1000 TB |
100 / 10 / (1) GBit |
Values in brackets include also key numbers for pre/postprocessing nodes
